Lighting Guide for Private Workshops
Metallurgy or metal science, metals and alloys, ore or metal-containing raw materials; It is a branch of science and technology that aims to produce, purify, alloy, shape, protect and prepare it in a way that will meet the needs of people, taking into account the environmental concerns and responsibilities during the "production-use" life. Metallurgy is different from the metalworking craft.
When designing lighting projects for metallurgical factories, it is necessary to determine the lighting modes and types, to choose the lighting sources correctly, and to establish a maintenance and management system for lighting in the light of the working conditions of metallurgical factories. Efforts should be made to ensure that the industrial lighting of metallurgical factories meets the production site needs and makes it suitable for other general requirements.
Good lighting conditions on the production site can not only meet the basic lighting requirements, but also significantly improve the field working environment, improve the work efficiency of operators, effectively reduce equipment failures and safety accidents. Industrial lighting design and implementation must not only meet the working environment and safety requirements, but also meet the requirements of currently building a protection-oriented society. The efficiency, economy and rationality of industrial lighting can be reflected through judicious choice.
Lighting Design and Lighting Selection
Because metallurgical enterprises have complex site environment, different work areas and different lighting requirements of different areas, it is necessary to take into account the lighting design and lighting selection comprehensively.
Lighting design of metallurgical enterprises can be divided into several types according to the nature of their working area. There are some special working areas where lighting design requires special attention. The choice of light source is very important in lighting selection. The applicability, comfort and economy of the light source should be considered.
-Smelting Workshop
Melting workshop refers to the workshop where the melting furnace, especially used in pyrometallurgy, is placed. Pyrometallurgy is a metallurgical process in which metals or metal compounds are extracted from ores at high temperatures. For this reason, the temperature here is higher than in other workshops and as we all know, high temperature is a very harmful factor affecting the life of the lighting fixture. When designing the lighting application here, LED high ceiling lamps that can withstand high temperature should be used.
-Electrolysis Workshop
Electrolysis workshop is a workshop where metal is purified and enriched with electrolysis technology. The main equipment in the electrolysis workshop is electrolytic cells and corrosive materials, electrolyte and circulation pipes, pumps, ventilation facilities, etc. includes. In general, the corrosion of the electrolysis workshop is higher. Therefore, the corrosion resistance of the lamps to be used in the lighting design of the electrolysis workshop plays a very important role.
-Transformer Room
The transformer room of the metallurgical factory is a special area and a separate room where the transformer conversion cabinet, which can convert high voltage to low voltage, is placed. Usually this area is close to the power source and should be located where there is less dust, less humidity, little vibration, no corrosive environment, no flammable explosive materials, and where the road is open. Since this is the power distribution control room of the entire factory, the lighting design here has its own requirements. Emergency redundant industrial lighting fixtures must comply with the lighting design requirement of the transformer room. If the transformer room is located underground where the humidity is relatively high, the moisture-proof feature must also be taken into account.
-Heat Treatment Workshop
Heat treatment in a facility is an important procedure immediately after forging is complete. The heat treatment workshop is a complex workshop. The main functions of this workshop are forging parts liquid preparation process, product cleaning spray treatment, quenching treatment, wastewater quenching, reprocessing products back to furnace operation, etc. This workshop is filled with dust, high temperature, acid-based corrosive liquid and high pressure steam. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on these influence factors when designing the heat treatment workshop. Otherwise, the lamps have to be changed frequently, which means extra expense for the operation. As an armature suggestion; High IP rating, high temperature resistant, corrosion resistant and high pressure steam resistant luminaires should be used.
-Raw Material Stacking Area
The reason why this area is also considered as a private area is that according to the relevant workshop dust detection report, the dust density here is higher than in other places. Therefore, lamps with excellent dustproof performance in terms of lighting design are more suitable for such places. It is also required to have a high IP rating, smooth body of the lamp and dustproof.
